Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the website, guest app, WhatsApp services, and services of Hotel Exotic Plaza (“we”, “us”). By using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

1. Our services

We provide hospitality services including hotel room bookings, event tickets and voting, dining and food orders, spa appointments, gym memberships and sessions, and car rentals, in and around Douala, Cameroon.

2. Accounts

You may need an account to use certain features. You can create one with your phone number (verified by a one-time code) or with Google sign-in. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and for activity under your account, and for keeping your access secure.

3. Bookings, orders, and payments

Prices are shown in Central African CFA francs (XAF) and may change. Payments are processed by our partners via Mobile Money (MTN, Orange) or bank card. A booking or order is confirmed once payment is received, or as otherwise stated. Cancellation, refund, and no-show rules depend on the specific service (room, event, spa, gym, dining, rental) and are shown at the time of booking. You are responsible for providing a correct phone number for Mobile Money payment prompts and notifications.

4. Memberships and passes (gym)

Gym memberships are valid for the period you purchase. Single-session passes are valid for one entry on the stated day. Hotel guests with an active booking may receive complimentary access as described in the app. Membership cards and QR codes are personal and must not be shared.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the services, including by breaking the law, infringing the rights of others, attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems, or submitting false information. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The services, including content, branding, and software, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use them only as permitted by these terms.

7. Third-party services

Payments, messaging, maps, and sign-in may rely on third parties (for example Google, Mobile Money operators, and WhatsApp). Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms.

8. Disclaimers

The services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. Availability of rooms, events, and other services is subject to confirmation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Douala, Cameroon.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
